And "you lose offense" lol? this team wasn't hitting Crochet with or without 1 bad offensive player in RF. I'm just saying it doesn't really matter. If you're so concerned about winning in a rebuild over getting Baldwin more experience as a multipostional utility guy it's micro not macro thinking. He just had a game winning hit yesterday and a great catch coming in on a ball. Playing RF on a windy day on a ball hit bry a RH hitter slicing away from him is going to be trouble even for experienced OFs . It's not exacting like Palacios has played a lot of RF with the e the Sox in Chicago .1 game if I'm not mistaken. Benintendi, Slater, Tauchman all hurt right ? It just sounds like complaining for no reason expecting perfection for the defense wanting to give up zero runs so they have a shot at winning when this game was always going to be hard towin with this weak hitting team against Crochet.

Capn12
I'd just rather the organization play outfielders in the outfield. There is this long standing fascination with putting dudes in RF, thinking they can just hide whoever they want in RF like we're in little leagues. I mean...the team and organization is run like a little league team, but it shouldn't also choose the starting lineup that way too.
PaleAleSox
All this series has shown me is the Red Sox are not good and their announcers should feel bad.

Ofc Jones or Palacios might have had it...and we were promised better fielding the last two years. But you simply can't bench Baldwin after yesterday. Surely he's doing the best he can. Boston announcers certainly didn't call that play like he had a shot at it...they thought it was gone off the bat.

I agree, you don't bench Baldwin, you just let him play where he should be playing, move Chase around and stop playing Amaya.
