Anyone else find it ironic, funny, and sad all at once that our best player into Getz’s second season as GM is still a Hahn acquisition?

Or that his best acquisition (Fedde) turned into acquiring the worst player in baseball since they got him?

Wait till the trade deadline and they get rid of anyone who is tradable.  I think Getz hasn't figured out he's a ML GM and still trying to make Birmingham and ONLY Birmingham better. He's trying to make up for his incompetence as a minor league exec,

He's not even good at that, as minor league GMs are 75% creative promoters and certainly excellent sales people with high EQs.

Winning percentage matters less and less going from AAA on down.

That part is just depressing.  Getz probably self flagellates himself at night over that trade.

2 hits tonight and his OPS actually rose to .464.  🤣

Can't believe you'd say such a thing about a guy with a new stance

Can’t believe the three hitters the Sox hyped the most coming into the season are all in the bottom 5 in baseball.  Not even I thought that was possible.

I think for next offseason, Vargas should try to gain 20 pounds of fat this time.

Skinny didn’t work last season…

20 more pounds of muscle didn’t work this season.

Let’s go Costanza style.

Chris Getz has taught me that if someone comes along and convinces my workplace to switch from Outlook to Gmail, that alone should not qualify them for CEO.

Like fathom said, make him the Director of Operations if you like his ability to turnover the operations of the team, but he is absolute s%*# at assessing and developing talent.

It's almost like they were trying to convince themselves instead of the outside world

Maybe they can trade Benintendi if they send $10-12 million out along with him...

Need a desperate contender, though.

Beni is our only good hitter (even tho he's around .240). I don't believe in Robert. He's another flop like Moncada and Eloy. I'd like Beni to be my leadoff hitter if I was a contending manager. Yeah a bit overpaid but the guy's gonna hit between 20 and 25 homers, knock in a lotta runs if he bats sixth. Maybe his arm blows and will cost u games there. But Beni is the only guy on this team I currently like cept for Mr. Meidroth of course. Each and every pitcher is a LOL to me. Maybe Quero will be likeable soon. p.s. Eloy has one HR in 88 at bats in Durham this season. Yikes.

White Sox now 1-10 vs. division.

0-3 vs. Detroit

0-3 vs. Cleveland

1-4 vs. Minnesota

Pity the Royals. They haven't been able to feast on Chicago, hence their record in April has been abysmal. The Sox really do affect the pennant races depending on who they play and when.

Byron Buxton has a .289 batting average with 88 hits, 22 home runs, 51 RBIs and 65 runs scored in 90 games versus the White Sox in his career.

Make that 23.

And Booser was the bright spot in the pen.

I once had a bowling teacher at KU named Mr. Boozer. He had a deal. If you agreed to a three game series head to head against him he would give you an A for the course if you beat him. If you lost you had to take he and his wife out for a steak dinner. Legend has it only 2 people tried. Both lost and had to feed Mr. Boozer and Mrs. Boozer.

Addendum to story: My grandmother died as finals approached. Popular excuse but it happened to be true. I had to go to Chicago for the funeral of course. All my teachers believed me and let me reschedule final or they just gave me an A. Only one who didn't believe me was Mr. Boozer. I said: "Sir bowling is fun. Why in the world would I lie to get out of a bowling final?" He said, "Good point. I believe you. Your A will stand but I would feel better if you brought me back proof you actually were at a funeral: i.e. the funeral program."

Peace out. I am rooting for the Sox Booser in memory of Mr. Boozer.
