You've got Ramos, Baldwin (utility), Meidroth, Sosa, Vargas...very crowded infield (six, including Workman), but someone pretty much HAS to emerge and be at least above replacement level. Hopefully/theoretically. Baldwin, right now, looks really good...but he's not an everyday big league SS defensively, at least not yet. Getz already wasted more than that on Slater and Tauchman. Getz has wasted millions on garbage the past two offseasons, carrying on the tradition from Hahn. All those million here and there wasted on garbage vets adds up. But this is just par for the course.
