Teams are seeing what Vrabel, Coen, Johnson, Seahawks guy, etc. can do and they are looking to jump on the exploratory ship.

Problem is going into that cycle it looked very strong.

this one is helped by Harbaugh, but when Nagy is a hot candidate after being OC for a time missing the playoffs…

This feels like a cycle similar to us hiring Eberflus.

I think of it as you still have Harbaugh and McCarthy.  Maybe Tomlin opens up too.  And Stefanski is an upgrade to McDaniels, imo.  So I think those are all pretty safe / solid hires, especially if you are an org that has been in utter disrepair)...get someone who can establish a culture prescense and build you up.

The DC candidates are solid - Pack DC, Flores, and Chargers DC.  OC - seems like maybe a bit less there this year as guys just don't have a ton of experience...but I think Nagy is a solid rebound candidate.

I'm speaking to how the right coach can flip the script.  I believe he has done that in New England.  3 of top 5 coach of the year candidates are new hires.

I understand that but Vrabel has done it before in Tennessee so he is more of a known quantity, whereas Johnson truly was new to this

Excellence follows Thuney.  The guy just is on good and great teams every season of his career

He really is a stud and by all accounts a very good leader. Hopefully he has great longevity and he adds at least one superbowl here too!

So, is this where we can post about the game, or will there be a separate thread

Why is Bears Gameday Live on so early before kickoff, they preempted the college hoops game for it, when they could have easily just aired it afterwards.

Cause Bears playoffs is a one time every 5 year kind of thing. Hopefully that was old era and this is start of something real , sustainable and awesome!!!

Meh.  I've been telling every1 that Bears should have lost on purpose to avoid playoff home games.  This is how they fared at home since 86:

86 L Redskins

87 L Redskins

88 W Eagles, L 9ers

91  L Cowboys

2000s Losses to eagles and panthers.

2010s L GB, L Philly

We're sub 500 at home in last 40 years.  We shoulda kept a WC spot.  I predict Pack 21-17.

I'm just now realising that pregame shows have gotten increasingly, and ridiculously, longer over the years because of ad time.

Bears had a 90 minute prepregame show today.  Not even the official pregame show, but prepre.  and now, this Rams pregame show is 90 minutes too.  WTF has this world come to.

With a cool 1-3 playoff road record during that span.

Also you’re missing 4 home wins in your breakdown.

TV contracts are billions with a B.  Of course they are getting their money's worth.

Well, the sportsbooks agree with me since GB are 1.5 point favs.  The reason is because it's at Soldier's Field.

Yup, we addicts want to watch anything that has anything to do with the game, even if it's mostly fluff and ads.

But man, do I still mark out whenever they show clips of the Ditka era.  How lucky are we to have experienced the Ditka era, Jordan era, Hurt, and even Kane era.  Great times.

Unpopular opinion, but the Roenick era was better than Kane despite 0 rings.

Yeah just casually missing the 2006 Super Bowl run.
