Ok, so for all of the talk about how proactive the Sox are with Colson Montgomery and identifying a problem and taking action to fix it, why do we absolutely refuse to do anything different with Andrew Vaughn?

This dumb Sox idea that development stops at the big league level...at least fielding-wise.

You can't really send both infielders to the bag since that opens up holes on each side.

true but he should be able to position himself a bit better when it's obvious the ball isn't in play.

When it comes to line up construction and playing time one of two things happened.  Either they found a Pedro clone, or Getz was highly involved with both managers in these aspects, because nothing has changed.

So if you think Grifol was a bad manager and Venable is a clone but instead blaming Venable you rather blame Getz by broad generalizations about lineup contruction and playing time.

I'd ask you for some examples of these lineup constructions and playing time where Grifol and Venable are the same but I know you can't prove it by providing a large sample size of examples of anything concrete so it can be analyzed.

Just your usual no facts , accusations.

It's ludicrous to think Getz is telling Venable to do things that he voices his opinion against.

Well, if Vargas makes a swing change and it works, and Montgomery makes a swing change and it works, then we know the Sox are trying to help players, and they’re seeing some success. Seems likely that either Vaughn has been making changes and they’re not working, or he won’t make them.
