Would have gotten us 3 or 4 more wins so far. That breaks the cardinal rule that non-contenders don't need closers...but hard to believe they can win close games without one to instill confidence. I get the impression that the White Sox management doesn't have a high opinion of Elko. A couple of weeks ago Elko hit a home run in a game and a few innings later they pinched hit for him. If they are not going to play him in the majors I would think they would have the decency to trade him. Elko is suppose to be a really nice guy. His teammates speak highly of him. I hope he's given a chance somewhere if not here. If you remember Getz's comment from a few weeks ago it appears that they do not have a high opinion of him or feel he's a long term solution. caulfield12
Taylor missed cut off man and allowed Nimmo to move into scoring position. Acuna way too fast to throw out. He'll probably argue he had momentum behind the throw and thought he had a chance. Edited May 26 by caulfield12

I feel the same way about Getz. I don't have a high opinion of him or feel he's a long term solution. The only long term solution I feel from him is consistent at losing 90-100 games in my lifetime.
