Soto was out of the base line, he should be out, wtf

Why not 2 outs force at 2nd base on Nimmo and Soto out of the baseline ?

Soto is the one who technically passes the lead runner so I guess he’s out (again, I know it was Nimmo but still).

Since April 23rd which is 30 games Vargas is 35-110 for  .318  8 HRs 19 rbis. Only 14ks. 

I am feeling like we maybe didn't blow on that trade.  Still should not have given fedde away for nothing.

I’m guessing they didn’t touch 2B or Soto technically passed Nimmo first (ruling him out) taking the force out away. So like a fielder’s choice would do.

No the replay showed Nimmo had rounded 2nd then reversed himself and was on his way back to 1st .Soto was fooled by Nimmo thinking it was a catch and he ran towards his dugout.

Maybe once he passed 2nd it eliminated the force out but then again Nimmo also kind of untouched 2nd base when he thought it was caught because he went back to 1st . I didn't see Venable out there questioning why it wasn't 2 outs so guess it was the right call ? But it's so rare Id have been out there saying hey that's a DP isn't it ?

Good call. I was thinking before the game that he'd been so good lately that on the road it NY he seemed ripe for a clunker. If I had remembered he missed a start because of his back I would've been even more convinced he'd have a tough time today.

His hit streak ended yesterday, but he had 2 walks so 14 game on base streak right now

These Mets starters are the best in baseball with a very good under 3 ERA.  Very surprising.
