When you run some of the worst teams and players out there on a daily basis, it is pretty to easy to look at guys as A New Hope when The Empire Strikes Back by playing those guys. Then many wait for a Return of the Jedi to dethrone The Emperor.

WBWSF
1) The Sun Times in todays paper said that after 60 at bats Elko looked overwhelmed at the plate. So he was sent down again. Kyle Teel looks absolutely lost at the plate. If this keeps this up I wonder if Teel will be sent down. 2) Nice article in todays Sun Times about MLB stadium rankings. It said The Rate is 19th out of 30 MLB parks. That seems to be a fair evaluation.

Oh by the way, the Sox aren't moving to Nashville, Portland, Montreal, Salt Lake City, Charlotte, Sydney, Johannesburg, Moscow, Paris or Sao Paulo. 😉

WBWSF
Looks like Baldwin joins Elko as players with no future with the White Sox.

Baron
I really miss that negative WAR Brooks provides. Such a blessing in the outfield.
caulfield12
Bringing the hottest hitter in AAA up to play him for 3 days...then demote him again? So on brand for the Sox.

I said that somewhat in jest but I've also learned over time and from what others have told me that you don't assume JR doesn't have a hand in everything. He may be ordering Getz who has spent this money to get something out of it. It's happened often in the past where the Sox have kept playing guys who completely lost it (Hello: John Danks for one example) and the only possible reason must have been because of the size of their contract before eventually having no choice but to cut them loose. WhiteSox2023
Palacios outrighted to Charlotte. Yet another player no other team wanted, yet he played 51 games for the Sox this year and reached 145 plate appearances. He put up a .596 OPS and a -1.1 bWAR. 🤣

Yes, no rebuilding team can have an outfielder on their roster in their mid 20’s that can put up a positive WAR because… rebuilding… the catch-all excuse for anything and everything. 1

I'm sure if they had one he would be here. They dont have one yet. Besides the point was that no one picked up the outfielder that they released. Most rebuilding teams dont cut players that are good. Hence if the Sox cut a player, odds are no kne else wants them either. They do have some talented mid-20s catchers but I dont think they will release them. Just let his posts wither and die. He somehow doesn't comprehend that while rebuilding you will have many bad players that will be released all the time that no one else wants . It's like seeing the sun go down and screaming ,"we are all going to freeze to death, we're doomed !! " every day when its a natural occurrence. Chicken little syndrome.
