People say TLR was the start of this stuff but honestly he's just downstream of it. RV used to do the same stupid ass s%*#. It's a White Sox thing. We don't respect what usually works and we sure as s%*# don't have any new ideas either.

 Jerry is not the only owner that lets you know fans can't have nice things.

I doubt this will ever be a solid organization in my lifetime. It's a complete 180 from the other team in town.  That's not always the case in NY.

I would hate to play for the Sox as they constantly make you change positions. I remember in youth baseball I was a stellar third baseman and comfy there. The final year we had a good bat come up and the guy played third. So he took third and I went to the outfield and was very shaky out there and went from wanting the ball hit to me at 3B to dreading it in LF. It was like a pasture out there in my mind. The center fielder did as. much as he could to help me out. But having Yoda have to play RF, ugh, poor fella.

I'm starting to learn our position players but I really still know nothing about our pitchers since they only work an inning or two and I don't watch the games only the highlights ... so somebody have mercy on greg and tell me which pitchers to pay attention to (future stars) when I peruse the box scores and which ones are stiffs who are about as effective as fathom would be at this stage of his career/life. Thanx in advance.

The only hope is when Ishbia takes over but we really don’t know what his M.O. will be.

The pitching staff is coming around as the team ERA is almost league average, much much better than last year and earlier this season.
In the bullpen Grant Taylor is probably our future closer, he hits 100 mph occasionally. Vasil looks like a keeper. Eisert has done a good job. Steve Wilson has done well but he is 30 years old.

The starting staff has some potential with Burke, Shane Smith, Cannon and Martin. Houser has done well but will probably be traded to a contender at the deadline as will Civale.

Where you think the money is coming from that they are willing to toss in to move Robert and Benintendi?

Agree on watching things deteriorate but what could they spend money on as we speak unless it was for things other than players like improvements to Rate Field or maybe front office management or maybe even field management and yes I mean Getz and Venable. I have to admit I like some things Getz has done like the trade of Crochet which brought us Meidroth, Teel and Braden Montgomery. I’m not 100% happy with Venable with his lineups and some in game moves but he has managed to keep the team engaged and hustling.

It is the wildest thing that you guys think right now in the middle of the season the Sox are just gonna start acquiring new players because Ishbia is the announced successor.
