  • Not sure Vinnie Capra should count as a major league strikeout.

Clayton Kershaw sits at 2997 lifetime strikeouts. I think he gets at least 3 tonight.

Gonna need one of the vets to take on the burden of being Kershaw's 3000th K so that none of the young guys have to see themselves whiffing on replay.

I agree but they need to keep Benintendi in that rotation until the deadline to boost his value.  After that, the rest of the season they should switch back and forth

I tend to agree but you also may wanna give your rookie catchers a breather too. I'd be interested in rolling with three catchers (bring up Lee), getting more ABs for Teel/Quero in general at DH (fewer games for both behind the plate), and trying out Teel at other positions, namely first base. I thought he played some outfield too.  Lee seems like a "perfect" back up catcher. Good defense, good game-calling, pretty bad bat. Meanwhile Teel does not look all that good behind the plate.

I think they should at least play Lee to see if he has trade value, he's a solid all-around catcher and seemed to be just about the only 'focused' player last season. I'm not sure what he's doing in the minors besides being a better version of Chuckie Robinson....or Adam Hackenburg, I was sure that guy was a stud.

Losing my enthusiasm rapidly.

So who's gonna be victim #3000? I got my money on Capra

Venabthe at his age would still be in the top 50% of Sox hitters in the lineup against Kershaw.

Taylor

What the hell is Slater doing on third?😁

Kershaw doesn’t have the snap on that curve.  At least not yet

Swing change mention #1.

1/26 no bueno

Oh, so close.

Sosa had that snagged at the wall by future teammate Michael Conforto lol

More mentions of Kershaw not throwing hard anymore are desperately needed.

Home run saved by 1-2 feet.

Story of Sox last 2-3 seasons.  Day late and a dollar short.

HR in 22/30 for Sosa there, including back at home.
