Apropos of Mongomery's first game: Montgomery makes that catch!  🙃 Meidroth great effort though

I think bad umpiring is particularly harmful to a team like the Sox where so many of your innings/games are won and lost on the margins, so I get especially annoyed by it.

And that's doubly true when we have so many young guys trying to dial in their zone understanding as is.

And it's TRIPLY true when there's no consistency.

If you're gonna call a bad zone, at least keep it the same bad zone and don't make guys guess.

I’d like to see Meidroth be a tad more aggressive at the plate.  He seems to take a lot of first and second pitch strikes.

Can’t recall who we were trading him for.  Maybe Fedde. Toronto traded kikuchi for him. if it was even him. Hard hitting second baseman (who can’t play 2nd) who was old for his level but killing it. I could’ve imagined this whole scenario
