bmags
Couldn't tell if him signing under slot was just a set-up for a bad pun or if that was a scenario.

I doubt Carlson is signing for $800K underslot. I'm guessing in the $5.8-$6 million range.
Chicago White Sox
Anyway…Keith Law sure did like our draft. I don’t always agree with his takes and he certainly has some strong biases, but the dude is a great talent evaluator and really knows position players. As such, it’s good he endorsed our haul.
Quin
All right, we can get back to talking about the draft / Sox farm system.
Y2Jimmy0
I mean Jeremy Haber was a supposed leak to many anonymous White Sox Twitter accounts so this is kind of funny actually.

Y2Jimmy0
4th rounder is overslot and 11th for sure. 7-10 all way under.

The 5% overage alone is worth $600k and all the seniors they signed in rounds they could theoretically save another $700k or so. As long as Carlson is at slot, they should probably have enough to cover the couple of other overslot guys.
DirtySox
Jimmy already said all 20 picks are signing.
Chicago White Sox
28 minutes ago, DirtySox said: Jimmy already said all 20 picks are signing. Sorry, I didn’t mean to suggest there was any risk. There weren’t any Hail Mary HS picks in rounds 11 to 20 to worry about and teams wouldn’t burn picks and the slot bonus they come with in the first 10 rounds. More just trying to show the math would work.

Chicago White Sox
I think someone said Boughton ended up agreeing to a figure that allowed them to push him down to #11, so my guess is he is he’s getting around $300k.
WestEddy
With @BaseballAmerica’s updates to their draft tracker, here are the latest numbers for the White Sox bonus pool. Only 2 draft picks remain unsigned. Based on the numbers, I’d expect a bonus in the $800,000-$900,000 range for 3rd round pick Kyle Lodise. pic.twitter.com/k6YqyOsIEl — Michael Suareo (@MSuareo) July 23, 2025

oldsox
Was Lodise offered more than $932k a few days ago?
