I thought both brothers were involved, including their father as well. They both invested in a minority stake in the White Sox back in 2021.

Correct. Justin will be principal owner of the Sox with brother Mat and their father as investors/part of the ownership group. This will be the reserve of the arrangement for the Suns, where Mat is the principal owner and Justin is an investor.

The fact that JR is on it tells me the owners aren't looking to compromise at least early on. I suspect JR will still be trying to 'get even' for what was settled on during the 94-95 impasse.

The only real questions are how long will the lockout last and will it impact regular season games.

Four guys obviously aligned with the small market teams and God knows what position Texas will push as a big market that often complains about salaries/payroll while still basking in the glow of a WS title.

Just seems that 5 year WS bump is now down to just 2-3 seasons...or maybe it's just that Texas is such a competitive sports market with football totally consuming weekends beginning in late August. That combined with a relatively disappointing stadium.

Seems Davis four years ago was more of an owner that wanted to avoid the strike rather than risk a prolonged stoppage...but has since become known as a "cheap" owner for not spending as wildlife as fans desired (shocking!).
