Owners proposed a series of absurdities today. No deferred contracts, max contract length of 5 years for FA switching teams, 6 years for teams retaining their FA. Min salary of 1 million (yikes).

I hate these guys so damn much.

The contract limit is never going to happen. Along with a max annual salary. Just ridiculous stuff that the PA will never accept.

Ken should go back to staring down a camera man that tripped. Fucking clown.

  • Maybe if I had a shred of hope of the Sox being good again in the next 3 or 4 years (we already have a 6 page thread about that), I'd actually share in this "ominous" feeling.  As it stands, I'm not g

What is Ishbia's position on the salary cap, revenue sharing, etc?

The fact they are even putting this s%*# out in public is disgusting and designed imo to piss off the union and poison the negotiations.

I thought both brothers were involved, including their father as well. They both invested in a minority stake in the White Sox back in 2021.

Perhaps Mat will continue to oversee the Suns and Justin will handle the White Sox, but It’s more than likely just going to be a big pool of their family money regardless.

Correct. Justin will be principal owner of the Sox with brother Mat and their father as investors/part of the ownership group. This will be the reserve of the arrangement for the Suns, where Mat is the principal owner and Justin is an investor.

Like I've been writing NEVER underestimate the stupidity of the owners.

It's almost like they are doing everything they can to force a confrontation. (Which if past is prologue they'll eventually crack, cave-in and lose)
