Was bound to happen sooner or later facing the 2nd best offense in the league and the BP had been on a pretty good stretch the last month or so. 

If you had to pick Sox weaknesses you'd put hitting and defense as worse than the BP based on a lot of metrics. Can't win if you can't score.

Damn JR walking through the crowd with minimal bodyguards around him. If I were him I'd use younger bigger guys around me. 

 

How come the Sox can’t add 3 mph to veteran crappy pitchers with bad reputations?

PCA is the most obnoxious player.  It’s such a shame he’s the role model for so many kids now. He can’t make an out without slamming his bat or throwing his helmet.

They will be playing some you wish were subpar after our glorious false hope trade deadline.  As some teams forfeit their season and their prospects not ready,  the Sox will have more competition in the dumpster dive.

With the Sox record and young arms I think they just like to use the more reliable guys in games they're ahead  if they can do that on a regular schedule if possible.  Taylor and Vasil will be fresh tomorrow for the rubber match. 

Didn!t you say just don't get swept or no hit ? I know that was a common theme before the 1st game. So far mission accomplished.

They had Chicago police officers lining the area but I agree that he should have had more security. He sat by himself for a little while until Harold Baines finally came over and sat next to him. I thought, “old money must be lonely sitting alone.” He did get handshakes and greetings from some of the 2005 team though.
