If I were another team, I wouldn’t want Robert

It’s hilarious people are being picky about what we might get back. Give me any other flawed player. I don’t care anymore.

And they need to realize if he’s not traded, they’re losing him for nothing in two months.

Their defense overall has been as bad as in recent years past. Every year in the spring they talk about how they are going to work on it, emphasize it and yet nothing ever seems to change.

Yup, fucking lip service. and this isn't coming from will, it's coming from Getz.

And think everyone can play every position

EXACTLY correct, instead of letting guys settle in and master a position they move them all over the place with predictable results.

Hopefully they learn from today’s debacle….but I doubt it

What I don’t get is why let Robert play at all today if he can’t run?

Talking yourself into the lineup rarely is a good idea. I dunno man, we've been over all this the last few years, few things this org does make a lot of sense day to day. They can make some decent moves in the abstract once and awhile but the day to day coaching is just not there and is inconsistent.

Rundown between 1st and 2nd, turned into a rundown between 3rd and home. Quero held the ball WAY too long to throw to Montgomery, so Haap ran into Colson, which let him advance home. Quero fucked up.

cmon that's just as much of a mistake on Montgomery yo can't be standing and blocking the base, that led to the interference call that let the run in, so the blame can be blamed on both of them

Vargas did not play that well at 1B either....plenty of blame to go around there

Cubs have now won 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Never though I'd live to see that.

Organization should be embarrassed (but they probably aren't)

Just like we never thought we'd live to see them beat the 1962 Mets for losses in a season.

The fans (at least the ones that even care anymore) are embarrassed, but I agree the organization probably isn't.

I care very much but I’m not embarrassed. I didn’t do anything.

Much like Venable’s predecessor, Pedro Grifol, was brought in as part of an effort to clean up fundamental mistakes, part of Venable’s role in the Sox’ latest rebuild is to lead a staff capable of minimizing days like Sunday.

“Those are things that we’re always working on. We’re always trying to figure out how to coach those things better,” Venable said. “The infield-fly rule, that’s something that we’ve been proactive about and talking about, and we still didn’t get it right.

“We have to look ourselves in the mirror and figure out a better way to coach that. Certainly, we’re going to readjust, and as we continue to make mistakes, it’s on us to figure out how to get it right.”

Lenyn Sosa was signed by the White Sox on July 2nd, 2016, and has known no other organization but the White Sox since he was 16 years old.

How the f*** do you make it 9 years and still not know the infield fly rule as a professional athlete?  What the f*** are these kids being taught?

Only one to blame here is Sosa himself. If a geezer like me sitting on a sofa knows the rules he has to. I’m not a fan of public humiliation but I’d have yanked him right there. Wondering if the Cubs let that drop on purpose to see if they could find a dope?  But I love the way he goes back on a pop fly and the RF’s know it and defer to him.
Sit him down next game.
