White Sox vs Orioles 1:10 pm

One thing that is noticeable for me right now compared to when they had that little streak a few weeks ago, is that the hitters don’t seem to have a plan at the plate.  Colson is just looking for something close, he isn’t looking for pitches to hit.  Sosa is swinging at everything, Teel is kind of in between as well as tired

Have a feeling Tauchman is going to be hard pressed to repeat this year in his mid 30s.

Well that's easy to guess because 75-80% of the time ... Father Time wins.

He will be worth whatever they pay him but it’s obvious that he can’t hold up as a full-time starter.  And when he tries to, his nagging injuries neuter his performance.

Bonus points if you can remember who made that quote originally and about what player…

I’m blanking on the players name but I know he was picked up off Tampa, he had that 3 hr game and never was seen again lol after our dear Farmio rostered him on the spot

Remember when people thought Beavers wasn’t good enough to be a 2nd or 3rd piece in a Cease deal?

To be fair, Beavers made a huge leap in development this season so he has a much better trajectory now than he did then.

But yeah, the Cease trade looks more awful by the day.

Could have gotten Westburg at the deadline a while back

It's probably just fatique but it feels like the team has finally quit on Will.

Approach at the plate is just so bad.  No effort or focus at all.  Taking strikes and swinging at pitches way out of the zone.   Can they send Thames to Arizona?

Unfortunately, they seem to be locked into Beni Tauchman Vargas Sosa...but 1B/DH is the one obvious place to upgrade.

(And Quero and Baldwin values both down.)

Which is kind of  funny letting Burger Sheets Vaughn all go elsewhere.

Baldwin, eh whatever, but I don't agree at all with Quero's value going down already. He's a rookie catcher at the end of his longest season in professional ball.

You would think that Getz would hit on one of the outfielders he acquired by pure luck.  Nope, all scrubs so far.  Hopefully, Montgomery is that dude…

I think he will be solid but lacks the power to be a big slugger.

Tauchman is one of my favorite Sox. The new lift and pull version of Beni isn't half bad.
