Another fucking junkballer with no Control. Being a junkballer ain't the problem the problem is being a junkballer and not being able to throw strikes

nobody thought "the 2025 sox are suddenly good"

Are those same people that think we’re gonna splurge on free agents this offseason?

Im hearing from lots of bloomers that we're coming for a wild card spot next season.

Even fuckin Baldwin woulda made a play at that. WTF was that Mr. Gold Glove Taylor?

Taylor’s throw to the plate didn’t even make it to second base.

He has to dive in that situation.

Need to be able to miss bats

Yes, they did

Forgot he even existed already.

Ron Marinaccio was pitching somewhere yesterday lol.

And the White Sox urinated another game away where they had a lead going into the 7th inning or later.

That 17 times this year if your scoring at home friends and neighbors. (It was an incredible 29 times last year)

It's also the 27th time this year the Sox held an opponent to three runs or less and lost the game.

This team/organization is so completely f'd up.

100th loss Wednesday night!

Getz loves crafty lefties as relievers. He's got the market cornered on them.

See Genuine Progress thread.

Basically it's Teel and Colson.  Shane Smith and Vasil.

True, in the closer role I agree. But I'm saying if you need to use the junkballer throw fucking strikes. I mean they took a huge fucking dump. They were scared in that ninth

Lots of “The Sox record since this arbitrary date is XX-XX.”

Just expected NY to win there at home after Boston took 4-1 lead against Toronto.

I've never called anything a success in this organization other than losing

I mean, an 18th rounder rookie gave up 2 runs. 🤷‍♀️

3 runs given up against the best offense in baseball at their home.

Who cares

LOL, I’ve seen Little Leaguers with better throws home than Taylor here from shallow CF…

To those insisting the Sox need to sign a "real" closer next year I've got two comments about that:

Closers cost money, JR isn't spending any given the uncertain labor situation.

And...

Why get a closer? This team has another 100 loss season written all over it because of a putrid offense.

This is what Jerry Reinsdorf has done to all Sox fans...almost.

Apathy.

You mean a key cog to yet another awful Getz bullpen.  Eisert has thrown 68.1 innings.

Didn't dive for the ball and lolly gags the throw to the infield. They literally dont care

they're obviously playing better since the likes of Montgomery and Teel were called up, but they're still a bad team. As good as the Tigers, better than the Mets since the ASB (the two teams I care about being better than because it's funny when the mets lose). There's "genuine progress" ya know, the pitching has been top 10 in MLB, but like, losing 3-2 to the Yankees...who cares.

He's not a key cog, he's just some guy. Key cogs are Grant Taylor, Leasure, Wikelman, Steven Wilson (the un-keyest)...guys who will return from injury, get a call up next year. Hagen and Schultz are probably key bullpen cogs next year if they take the Crochet path. That's 6 of your 8 bullpen pieces.

Well, he’s the most used lefty middle reliever in this year’s bullpen.  Only Alexander has more innings but he’s more of a long man jizz mopper / spot starter.

uhh...what. Is Jerry Reinsdorf in the room with us right now?

There are like 5 pitchers on the IL and 5 more guys who will debut next year. You only need, like, 3 of them to be good. It isn't apathy, it's understanding that there is a minor league system in baseball. It's me wondering why anyone expected anything different during a rebuild year. a 3-2 loss to a World Series favorite at home...who cares.

Criticizing the pitching specifically is weird because they've been genuinely good by any measure. Eisert is a rookie and seems like an OK player with room for improvement actually. Who will nonetheless probably be bumped off the MLB roster. Hopefully traded. This is as memeworthy as criticizing Bummer.

If you wanted immediate results, root for a team like the Mets with their spendthrift owner. Or ATL or SF with their top 10 payrolls. Oh wait, how's it going for those orgs?
