Moore was even floated as a possible mentor to Getz. Chris Getz doesn't seem taken with the connection. They seem happy to filch an assistant here or there from organizations that see a promotion with the White Sox as a career builder. Somebody was making fun of these two hires, but Miami is now being run by a Tampa Rays dude. compare his 2nd year to Getz, almost .500 in a tougher division and Getz 2nd 100 loss season. Both have lousy owners.

The Marlins never came close to having a #1 overall farm system under her, though. TLR basically broke the White Sox. If Hahn had been allowed to hire Hinch and not over ruled, things could have at least turned out far better than they did.

While the White Sox had a top farm system, that was mostly graduated or gone by the time Getz took over. You seem to be comparing Bendix directly to Getz, which really has nothing to do with the 2019 farm system ranking, or TLR. While I'd agree that Bendix is the wonder boy du jour, he did take over a club with an ascendant farm system, and Getz took over a smoldering ruin.

The direct comparison was Hahn to Ng. And now you're on to Bemdix having the only say on the Marlins' farm while she was GM. At any rate, Chris Getz has/had nothing to do with that. Not getting to name his own manager derailed much of what Hahn was attempting to accomplish...just like not being allowed to sign Machado or Harper and being forced into Tier B free agents after the young core players were all locked up on the position player side. Yes, I said that in response to a remark comparing Bendix' finish after year 2 to Getz' 2nd 100-loss team. And I compare the system they were left by Ng and Hahn, respectively. Bendix had more to work with than Getz, thus a better record in year two. Beyond that, this reads like classic Holden gobble-dy gook. Maybe somebody will have the completely unrelated conversation about whether Hahn was handcuffed by TLR being chosen over his head. I wish you luck. One of these days everything will quit being someone else's fault. Probably the day they fire Getz. 1

It wasn’t too long ago Rick Hahn was the guy with all the correct answers and everything bad was someone else’s fault. Now no team will touch him. 1

I wish you luck. How about Getz wins an AL Executive of the Year award first? Coming in 2029, right? Should be easy to do starting with zero expectations. Right now, that covered award would be from reallocated from other execs...an appreciation/participation trophy for helping contribute to those other teams' postseason runs in 2024-25. caulfield12
"Grady Sizemore, who served as the team’s offensive coordinator in 2025 and filled in as interim manager in 2024, will be offered a role within the organization for 2026, according to the club." The search to find replacements for Katz, Thames, Bourgeois and Butera will “begin immediately.” 9/30 WGN News Looks like he saw a better opportunity in Minnesota, or just didn't mesh well with Venable, or both. Maybe as former manager he constituted a threat? Plus Minnesota has a Top 5 CF prospect in Walker Jenkins to tutor.
