They should slip all these guys a couple of hundred and have them send back scouting reports on everybody. Asia covered.

HaSeong Kim and Lee with SFG/CF are the only real success stories.

It took Lee a full year to adjust to elite fastballs.

Hyesong Kim (LAD util) and Song (SDP) yet to be determined.

An extremely likeable vet with a pretty lefty swing. Hope he has a nice season for the Mets and he can get some playoff ball.

Mama Mia!! If he was wearing a White Sox uniform, that jumping high ten landing would have resulted in a blown-out knee.

My over riding impression is once a clown, always a clown. I did enjoy that he remembered he's allowed to crowd the plate although I'd imagine it's a function of the velocity down there compared to MLB as much as any real adjustment.

Just overall talent really. Not just velocity.

That was a meaty meatball he was thrown.

I was a Realtor. It gets capitalized to denote that one adheres to their code of ethics and more importantly, pays dues to the NAR. They don't need to add "certified" in front. "Realtor" is what it is.

I don't understand your CPA comment. They are accountants. It's right there in their designation - Certified Public Accountant.

As the "other" English teacher around here I approve this message. Plus the OP was damn funny.

The reoccurring theme of players that Getz gave millions to having to settle for pittance contracts or minor league deals just a year later is a bit unsettling.

He better be thanking someone.  If he had just his White Sox career, he'd probably  have been fighting for a major league deal right now.

More like Meal-loy. Dude is fatter for sure. Not how one should look when trying to make a comeback.

Good for him but that's kind of a bummer, I was hoping the Sox would hire him to the front office/player development staff.

If he retired while still under contract, wouldn’t he still be under Sox control?

Yeah I dont get how the Sox dont have his rights.

His transaction history shows he retired May 2, 2025 and was released September 23, 2025.
