Why he did is a great question. It's clear the relationship between Benetti and the organization was fractured when Jason wanted to get a deal done before he talked to Fox and the Sox told him that wasn't necessary. That he should make a deal then come back to the Sox and they'd figure things out. So that's what he did. Then when he went back to the Sox, told them he'd need to miss 40 games because of commitments to Fox the Sox told him no and basically hung him out to dry. There was no going back after that. Maybe the Sox felt the deal with Fox wouldn't require him missing that number of games? No one really knows. Everybody looks at other people profiles, they don't post the info to the rest of Soxtalk. Just like I said majority trying to silence the majority and playing the victim . I guess you left off the part of my profile that had my motivation for putting that info there. The part that said being on Soxtalk was like being with friends. But I see too many bullies here now and already posted about that . I like the underdogs. That helps being a Sox fan but it doesnt help those who chose to be with someone they no longer trust despite their obvious pain. I'm not in pain because I'm seeing an honest effort to get better under trying conditions . They all signed on knowing it would be challenging. They just do their jobs one day at a time trying to mske those young adults better at the things it takes to be a good player and teammate. The money part of team building is out of their hands. They would sit in the Chicago studio and receive info on every pitch via teletype, and then broadcast the pitch as if they were seeing it, all with fake crowd sound effects. Bob Elson was more my speed.🙂 I don't even know who Bob Elson is 😂 I grew up in the late 90's/2000's so my childhood was Hawk (thankfully I still got him when he was good) and DJ but mostly Hawk and Stone. I also loved listening to Farmer and DJ on the radio as well. Such a great listen. DJ is still good alongside Kasper. I think Kasper needs to stay radio though. It's his sweet spot. Don't know what years you are referring to but in my library I have audio from Bob on the road at various stadiums in the 1950's.
