I think he's got a good amount of K upside still too, with a better mix and some fine tuning but I also think hed be pretty expensive.

Bello is honestly more intriguing than any of the remaining FA SP given that he’s only 26 and is fairly affordable for 4 more years.

Bello’s deal is a great contract for his performance though.  He’s guaranteed $50.5 million over 4 years.

And it was a young-for-old trade.  Even if the vet plays up to par, it’s still bad business.  But the Sox have a unique ability to find veterans who can’t play.
This is a big year for the Sox to discover  what they have and  what they need.

Brayan Bello seems to be too good of a target while Patrick Sandoval and Jordan Hicks seem too awful.  If Sosa is the name involved, I would expect a starter somewhere in between.

With as much pitching still out there really don't understand trading what little we have in value. Still think signing a pitcher is better. Outfield market is way thinner which I could see a trade for. 

Are we sure it’s Boston? I could see the Giants making sense. 

There's something weird going on with the free agent starter market and it's certainly not just the White Sox with hestitation.

If they think Antonacci will be better in the long term, I wouldn’t be devastated if they traded Meidroth for the right return. I could see a scenario where he becomes a utility player on this team sooner rather than later. 

They aren't trading one of their core young guys to my knowledge. I also have no idea if a deal is actually close. I just know that they've talked to Boston. I wouldn't really consider it to be major though. The poster earlier could be referencing something else.

If he has a lot of value, I think it would be a great idea.  You have plenty in the pipeline to potentially play 2nd.

No one as good as Chase though.  I’d be very hard pressed to move him right now.
