Sox at Brewers 3/29, 1:10 CT

Featured Replies

Let's try to salvage the series. I like Mune hitting 2nd behind Meidroth. Hoping to see more from the offense today.

Wow. I didn’t know that. So our starting outfielder was a Savannah Banana back in 2021? We only acquire the cream of the crop apparently.

Three games into the season and Tristan Peters is already starting his second game. Bang up job on the roster by Getz. It’s bad enough we have to watch Everson “Wind Tunnel” Pereira starting.

We are starting a AAA quality guy three games into the season. If you think that’s okay, good luck. People joked about the Kelenic acquisition but starting Peters is now acceptable?

Quero/Quero behind the plate today

Why is Pereira the one player who has to be in every lineup? Would have been a good day to have Acuna in the lineup. Since his injury, Quero has like a 30 arm.

But I thought we all liked the Savannah Bananas

What's the matter with Peters? He's a legit CF and actually got a hit yesterday against a pretty good pitcher.

I am reminded of a recent quote...

then he's the dumbest masochist of all. Instead of mocking Sox fans, he should just be saying, "thank you, master, may I have another?".

Was at the game last night (took my youngest to his first MLB game…we also went to the Bucks/Spurs to see Wemby). A lot of Sox fans there. It’s depressing at the moment. Feel for Mune and Meidroth. Brewers are good. They pounce on seemingly every opportunity. My subscription to CHSN isn’t going to last long at this rate. Go Sox. Let’s get win #1.

They're still in their rebuild. You scream you want younger players instead of solid, older vets. This is what that looks like. Aside, the Sox are one of the youngest teams in the bigs, right now, on average.

Who joked about Kelenic? It's a perfect, cheap gamble. If the coaching took, his ceiling looks pretty good. It didn't. He didn't make the team.

This team today with that lineup is 110 loss bad. Go Blue. f*** JR.

Peters, Pereira, and Sproat all were in the International League last year, so they presumably have a history of matchups. Not sure of the outcomes, however.

Careful my friend. Certain fans won't like your beliefs! 😉

I mean they have to win some games, they aren't going to go winless for the season (are they?) LOL.

It made sense to give Pereira a shot, although that is quickly looking like a bad decision since he swings at everything. Peters didn’t really have much pedigree and might make a nice fourth outfielder, but he shouldn’t be starting the majority of games so far.

I agree on Kelenic but how is Peters any different? These are AAA guys on any other team.

When do we get to stop saying “they are still in a rebuild” as an excuse for these bad rosters? Two more seasons? Three?

Again that's a great question. Perhaps some people would be willing to give you a specific answer (although I doubt it)

And a point of clarification. It was brought up why I don't respond until after a game.

Just FYI, my computer is located in our office here at the house. It isn't a laptop, it's in a different room from the TV.

I'm not going to go bouncing back and forth as games progress.

Sorry that's the way it is.

Pereira has played two games. They're playing against the team with the best 2025 record. I can see these guys pressing.

We get to stop saying they're in a rebuild when they're no longer in a rebuild. Acuña, Pereira, Baldwin, Peters, Kelenic - they're all young talent that need reps.

Well, at least Benintendi isn’t batting 3rd or 4th today.

And what’s the timeline for that? There must be one. How many more losing seasons does Getz get to have before his job is in question?

So the door is always open and you won't give anyone a specific timetable before you admit things aren't working out.

And what defines them not being in a rebuild any longer?

Why with this organization does rebuilding have to take three years, five years, multiple rebuilds over a decade?

And he's not in LF thankfully

With Jerry still not willing to invest in this mess, it's not going to be anytime soon.

It's almost like you're not on a comment board where this is discussed every day. The Astros got 6 losing seasons before this current dynasty. You guys were calling for Getz's head the day he got the job.

So he gets 3 more seasons until the team is expected to be a contender? Just curious.
