The Sox sit at 28th in MLB in payroll, behind historically big spenders such as Tampa Bay, The A's, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee. This is including the fact that Chris Getz had to beg Jerry for a special payroll addition to get Mune. If he hadn't signed, we would be dead last in baseball in spending this year. 30th.
