Sure. But the possibility remains that they're actually in a divisional pennant race that's being driven by two power hitters in the middle of the lineup. I get tired of the KiteKrazies lecturing everyone about wanting to trade players, but at some point, you have to see a raise and play the hand.

Just like Sox fans get tired of barely having and not keeping good things...or just pure bad luck or injuries or JR/management decisions (2008 Quentin, Tatis, 2022-23 talent implosion, trading Sale and Crochet, etc.) or pig headed moves like bringing in TLR in an attempt to rewrite the past.

Konerko Contreras and AJ probably the main exceptions who went out on their own terms. Thome, to an extent.

(AJ isn't even on good terms now.)

Agreed but they aren't gonna pay 250M+ for a 1B no matter what, so if he's hitting 50+ bombs you're gonna need to cash out your chips when the value is the highest.

Maybe they will and maybe they won't, but the highest value of all is a deep playoff run. I'll take a QO pick, an ALCS appearance and the good will that will still come from the White Sox captivating Japan.
