I'd still rather have Hawk back. Can you imagine him with this team?

His time has come and gone.

Too much water under that bridge.

  • Some here, including yourself, stopped updating projections when the Sox started winning more consistently. All I ever predicted was 77-78 wins. I never said anything about attendance or the playoffs

Career high in pitches and swings and misses in this game.

17 consecutive starts with giving up 3 runs or less for Martin.

2026 All Star is better. And an award for resilence after 2024/25.

Sox have at least 2 all stars currently imo

Davis Martin is such a development success story.

Win #19 and series win #6, both of which didn't come until June last season.

Tied for 2nd with KC pending their night game.

14-11 in their last 25.

Back .500 at home. Baby steps.

Sox need to figure out whatever it is that's making them play like s%*# in day games and correct it. maybe they're staying up too late after the prior night game, idk

they won't win many games like today, 2 runs 5 hits 1 walk with an error

Colson Mune Martin...but probably only get 2.

Mune is the biggest marketing story for mlb internationally right now.

Okamoto's slowly surging right behind him. But he lack dsy that big personality and majestic tape measure homers.

Baseball is bad so far in the AL Central. Sox one game under .500 and in 2nd place.

The Sox got better but so many teams have gotten worse. I'm glad they capitalize on this.

just take the win

one more middle of the order hitter and that lineup becomes legitimate

and that's not even considering Kyle Teel for the moment

To me this feels like a game changing win.

Good game. It would be nice for the White Sox to reestablish having Seattle's number. Hald game up for the wild card on the M's.

the will sound the "trade him while he is good crowd".

We still try hard to make the most unpredictable sport predictalbe.

Trade him and Muni for the mythical haul. I know I'm stepping on some toes here.

Not trading anyone if theyre in 1st place with Teel and Braden in the lineup from Jume through the trade deadline.

I know it's stick to the plan for now but that plan may include how to handle being in 1st place when August rolls around and drawing big crowds.

The Sox being better makes the rest of the division look worse. They had donated a sweep to 3/4 teams in the division and were like 2-14 overall vs. ALC by this point last season.

I thought you hated trading away guys to "make Birmingham better" ...?

The A.L. is tightly packed with just a 3.5 game lead for the 1st place Guardians on the last place Twins.

It can become even more packed if the Sox win today while the Tigers beat the Royals and the Twins beat the Guardians again today.

Aging well. Sox won ,Guardians lost. Just need Tigers to beat the Royals.

5th time this season the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and came back to win the game.

Nice that Martin didn't get tagged with a loss after having pitched very well.

Martin may have to keep the M's off the board until they can get Gilbert out of this game.

Also aged well. Was already 1-0 when posted. Martin did it and Sox hitters came through in the 8th. Sox BP of Nuke 'Em, Huddy, Sir Anthony held the M's scoreless for 3 innings.

Nuke ERA 3.18

Hudson 0.95

Dominguez 3.45 with 9 saves.

Off day Monday so entire BP should be good to go Tuesday against the Royals for a big series.

SoxMachine's post-game wrap, with a factoid some here have been avoiding:

White Sox 2, Mariners 1: Finding a way on Mother's Day - Sox Machine

*With one quarter of the season in the books, the Sox are on a 77-win pace.

We can talk pace between 54-60 games.

Unless you also believe the Cubs will win 104-108 games with three starting pitchers missing.

77-85 is not enough yet to draw a lot more fans unless CLE and DET can't separate themselves from the pack.

Unless they have Murakami/Colson giveaway jerseys or bp t-shirts every week.

Pretty sure Dominguez still pitching to negative war numbers.

Won't work against the better/best teams.

Having an ace is so important. Saves the pen and gives a team a chance to gain momentum every time they start. Great job Davis and the pen did enough today as well obviously.
