White Sox Winner With 9 Run Inning

Featured Replies

Davis Martin went to 6-0 after a Sox loss and Giants looked terrible as the Sox got 9 runs on 5 hits all in 1 inning.

Antonacci had 2 HBP in that inning and Mune had a bases clearing double

Meidroth had abases loaded walk and Benintendi a 2 run double.

That D. Hill hit was big after the strikeout.

Extremely fun inning in an otherwise blah game. Got the win, glad I stayed up.

Thst was a good piece of hitting by Hill shooting it to RF.

Martin had his worst stuff of the season and we still won. A sweep would look really nice coming back home

9 runs on 5 hits in one inning and nothing else has to be the strangest game since the Sox scored 11 runs on one hit in one inning in a game against the KC A’s way back in 1959 but a win is a win and maybe a good omen.

I like this line from the book “Ball Four.” “It’s fun to laugh the winners laugh.”

Wasn't a vintage performance last night but it didn't have to be. Good solid baseball for the most part.

Also just very impressed by how stubborn and patient we are at the plate. The Meidroth at bat that "drove in" the first run was really a product of this. I don't think he took the bat off his shoulder at all and was rewarded. And because of that at bat, Benny got a coookie on that first pitch. Love how the coaching staff seem to be stressing patience and working the count.

Sometimes Colson and Mune can chase bad pitches but it’s so different than the last few years when 7 or 8 guys in our lineup would swing at some terrible balls outside the zone.

Some of the stuff waaay low and away that Robert would swing at . . . used to amaze me and just completely irritate me. Not watching Robert chase bad pitches is probably the main reason I was glad to see him go.

Or Vaughn...who's back again now with MIL.

Antonacci becomes the first White Sox player and ties a major league record of two HBPs in one inning!

I would like to see Cleveland lose any time now.

Mune's double was some professional hitting. It was like he decided when the ball was 3/4 to the plate to just punch it into left. And he did.

Might have been the strangest game I’ve seen live. Giants fans are getting a taste of what we lived through in ‘23 and ‘24, apparently.

Cleveland doing Cleveland things yet again, they really have a solid organization.

Agreed, those Robert at bats were infuriating.

imagine the kind of numbers Robert could put up if he had Mune's plate discipline and ability to get walks.
