And that's a back over .500 White Sox winner!

Always feels good to beat the Twins! Sloppy game really but we'll take it. Winning when you don't play great is progress. Great job by Kay finding a way to get it done today.

I would like one sweep of the Twins please

One of those 42 games that could go either way. Good win.

Kay is back in the circle of trust for now

Winning when you dont play great is definitely progress but id like to see them play good now because its been over a week. Anyway, great win.

I'll cut them from slack for today since they played a west coast day game yesterday and then flew home for another one today.

Hey, how about a season where we beat up on the rest of the Central. Let's do it!!!

Eh, they came out flat in San Fran after an off day. It's just a mediocre team with a solid offense and a mediocre to bad pitching staff. That's solid progress tho.

They took a Full House tour and were tuckered out.

Big win coming off of the lackluster roadtrip and short turnaround.

Sox improve to 27-26, and gain a game of breathing room on the Twins with 6 more to play in the coming days.

15-10 at home, 13-9 in May.

This version of Anthony Kay will play. 1.98 ERA his last 5 starts, 3-0 record.

Taylor, Hudson, Dominguez closed it out, so hopefully the Sox have a bigger cushion tomorrow for the pen.

Nishida recorded his first hit, an OF assist, and seemingly every other putout in his debut.

Rikuu-mania is upon us!

Im glad you posted his numbers for the last 5 games. He had couple stinkers but since he switch to a differen part of the rubber he's been nails.

He was being bad mouthed a few days ago and put into the same boat with Fedde by our less knowledgeable loudmouth who only posts when he can say something bad.

Was glad to see tjat pitching yesterday didnt keep Taylor and Dominquez from pitching today. I think thats why he took Taylor out sooner than expected yesterday.

Pretty good debut by Nishida and great pitching by Kay & the BP !

Mune and Romo did Mune and Romo things.

Sox back in the 2nd wildcard with 1/3 the season over. Fairly remarkable.

I said I couldn’t believe Fedde and Kay are keeping the Sox in games because they both seem like they are one pitch away from blowing the game. Kay has a bad FIP and WHIP overall. This was his best game of the season since he didn’t give up an assload of baserunnings like he usually does.

But keep being the absolute stooge that you are, Ron Willie!

If you had the Sox at 1 over on Memorial Day and in a WC with the Tigers 12 under and 10.5 back in the division go ahead and collect your winnings.

I pointed this out, but Kay has been fine in May and there is reason to believe he can at least be a capable back of the rotation starter moving forward. And that is huge as it means there is only one blatant hole in the rotation right now.

30k+ in attendance. Romo a great catch and tag at Homeplate. Also, a 2run homer in a 3-1 win.

Kay Taylor Hudson Domiguez, just the way they drew it up.

If told me those 4 would combine for 8K and 1BB today and I've said f*** off. But they did. Kay had a pretty nasty breaking ball (splitter?) working in the middle innings there. He was wild AF but he did a good enough job pitching around trouble. Defense played mediocre today and the staff did a good job not giving in. That Peter's error could have been a back breaker on another day.

I'd be interested in knowing how many rotations have 2 or more qualified starting pitchers with less than a 4 ERA. I know other numbers mean more but ERA is still a decent barometer of good pitching for a starting pitcher who can give you 5+ innings in most starts.

one third of the season gone and we can do no worse than .500 ball. 3-4 weeks from now, the Sox had better find another starter.

jonathon cannon maybe?
