Grant Taylor 😍

We found our closer. Let’s put Seranthony to pasture.

As awesome as Taylor was, would you agree Newcomb was the game MVP?

Oh yeah. He stopped the momentum.

Let’s have co MVPs. If both these guys keep pitching this way, the Sox will be favorites to win the Central. IMO.

This is embarrassing, and not for me. I was using his Gold Glove as an example of how you can’t judge a player’s present by what he’s done in his past.

Also, he is not a league average bat. He hit 20 HRs last year, that with the the time he missed with injuries he had last year.

Benintendi is a league average hitter. He's streaky. There is no lefty bat on the team to replace him right now. I believe that when Pereira comes back, Nishida goes back to AAA. However, I think the move that will matter is when Mune comes back around the ASG. It comes down to how Gonzo's taken to pro pitching, and how Benintendi's maintained this hot streak. I foresee Gonzo cranking, and Beni dithering, and then it's not such a weighty decision to either move on from Beni, or he's your lefty bench bat. Or Gonzo goes back down for 7 weeks, and he's the extra man on Sept 1.

The ebb and flow of a full baseball season: as Hudson has cooled off and become hittable, our other bullpen lefty Newcomb has become really super good.

And Eisert has certainly become serviceable again.

Grant Taylor should be an all star

Beni proves productive with a good lineup.

this was the only highlight I saw from tonight's game lol.

figured our guys would touch up Painter though. despite being a top prospect for the past decade and having an excellent name which leads one to believe he's paint(er)in' corners and K'in' guys, he's never actually looked that good to me at any level. I'm pretty sure his prospect status comes from having a cool name and not because of the 69 grade fastball or whatever.

jake gone absolutely destroyed that ball though. lookin like a half swing, just rolled out of bed and sent it to the second deck. love to see he's actually producing at the MLB level and having a crowded infield is such a treat. I've said for several years now, I thought he was the pick we should've made that year and I was pleased we drafted him. There are some better players in that draft that might've been on the Sox radar (McGonigle, Nimmala, Eldridge, our friend Grant Taylor...Tommy Troy is kinda balling), but Enrique Bradfield and Gonzalez were the guys I specifically liked and Gonzalez is not disappointing. He genuinely seemed to turn a corner because he's been god awful in the minors.

Good God almighty, are the Chicago White Sox developing hitters? I'm not getting my hopes up yet but it's close.

20 HR with a .738 OPS last year. He’s bad on offense and horrible on defense. You raging that he is somehow good does not make it so. No other team in baseball would want him or his $15 million a year salary. Accept it.

Exactly what you want out of the biggest contract in team history - as long as you have a strong group of rookies to carry you, you are basically league average.
