Sox and Braves are the only teams to not yet have a 4+ loss streak this season

are you serious? look at their lineup. they are a bad offense.

One batter too late. Whatever. Score some runs.

True story: the bar I'm at in nyc is playing the infamous David wells cubs game.

It is a lineup of vets who have hit throughout their career, I wouldn't expect their offense to be bad all year. They have the best record the last 35 games as well

Newcomb has been a fantastic addition.

Phils hot right now. Was gonna be tough to keep them down. Score some more!

He’s had an awesome six game stretch? Yes, let’s ignore the years of league average hitting over a ridiculously small sample size.

So sport are not a “what have you done for me lately” concept?

He won a gold glove in ‘21 or ‘22. Should we have him in LF every day?

He’s helping the team win now. He is, again now, one of the top bats in the Sox order.

kinda surprised Sosa was so frozen by that hook. Great call and execution.

Will needs to get better at sensing when a pitcher has lost it. Always seems to be a batter or two too late.

They are 27th in wRC at 89. It's not a good offense. It might not be that bad, but it's certainly not a deep lineup.

We have no payroll beyond the 2027 season, definitely feels like the move we should make. And if a payroll floor goes into place, even more reason to spend big on a legit star as it will be hard to spread a lot of money around.

Jerry thinks you should never spend big on a pitcher. I just don't see it happening no matter how much sense it makes.

Boy, it sure would be nice now to have that other run the3rd base coach pissed away.

Tanner Banks just shutting us down

I understand they have struggled, I didn't say that. They all have long careers of being good

Did you honestly just cite Benintendi winning a Gold Glove four or five years ago having any merit on his defense today? He is far and away the worst defensive outfielder in the sport and by wide margin. His inability to play a passable LF has destroyed any chance of him being an above replacement level player.

If/when this team is fully healthy and if Gonzalez is legit, there is a very strong argument that Benintendi is the weak link on the roster and the one who should go. Not sure why this is so upsetting to you…

Jerry will want to win one more title before his ticket is punched…I could see him going out of character and signing a big name pitcher if he feels the other pieces are all in place to be successful.

9th best OPS in MLB last 7 days.

Let’s get some fucking insurance runs!

Great defense that inning.

If Hudson is available I would go Grant next inning, Dominguez the 9th with Hudson warming in case you get back to Schwarber/Harper.

Huge inning for Newcomb. He get another to make sure he gets Marsh? Or do you go Taylor?

Doesn't matter. They are going to lose because the Phillies had all of the momentum I read.
