Straight to AAA is good news

Bruh. Can you imagine what it might be like to have legitimate international prospects? I'm salivating.

Barons/Bonemer debut postponed.

The guy looks like a complete stud. Here's the statlines for our big 3 DSL prospects. Cardozo is the 17 year old, 6'5 catcher and Vielma is the 16 year old shortstop. Hard not to be excited with how they've started. All 3 have OPS's north of 1.240. Romero looks especially big time. He seems like he could be one of the young international guys that just explodes onto the scene.

Good news, bad news. Teel 2 run HR. Schultz gives up a 2 run HR

Noah is a mess. His stuff just isn’t that good to go with horrible command

I mean, this is his first rehab start…should probably expect some rust

Struck out his last 3 batters.

3bb 4K for Schultz. Hagen Smith was there in spirit.

Sure there’s rust, but it’s nothing different than what we’ve seen in the majors so far.

Another solid outing for Pallette. Wonder if he leapfrogs Peoples as the next RHRP to the 40.

Noah never really had control problems until last year when the knee issue popped up. Then this year he came back and had fantastic control until the knee thing came back again. Of course, if the knee is always going to bother him then he has to figure out how to play through it.

In case you were wondering, Michael Turner's Statcast numbers look bad. I do not expect Chris Getz to be fooled by that.

Wikelman Gonzalez and Oppor both struggled in ACL game

Feels like another version of Rauch all over again...

Gonzalez walked a guy and gave up a bomb. That’s a completely different level than Oppor who once again walked three guys in less than two innings and threw two wild pitches. Oppor is completely broken. Sox are currently 0-3 on their top lefties. Is it time to scrutinize Bannister?

Yes.

Sure hope they are working on addressing this in some capacity. The state of the pitching development in the minors is pretty abysmal. It somewhat gives me pause on spending high picks on prep pitching if you don't have confidence in development.

As a system, it does look bad. I guess the only thing I'd ask is if it's a bit of a scouting issue. Extremely tall pitcher with health and control issues? Color me shocked.

The only good news with pitchers and why I don't find them that fun to follow is they kinda just figure it out randomly and then are good. Schultz good be great by next outing and then we forget it.

It does feel thought hat we used to have a pitching team that was like 'get us very dynamic stuff and we can harness it' and our minors was a bunch of 8 BB per 9IP walk rates but we did find some very dynamic K pitchers. That regime has changed now and maybe some of these high variance guys just aren't getting the same advice to 'harness' it and makes it a bad fit.

Someone remind me, was this the guy who fell out of the somewhere like the Dodgers/Padres pool, or was this someone who was signed with us all along? If he wasn't the guy we grabbed from someone else, who was it?
