    You’ve saved the season.

That was an annoying inning. Inch away from a HR and a ridiculous catch to save 2 runs.

Edgar was starting to hit the ball hard the last couple weeks before Teel came back. That’s why it’s so confusing he was the one to go down. Romo can’t hit and he can’t catch. I’m not sure what the thought process is there. Also, if people haven’t figured out that Lee will not be catching for this team at the Major League level again, I’m not sure what else they need to do to show you that’s not happening.

Quero is 23. He’s like the 3rd youngest catcher in baseball. They don’t have to “salvage” him. Catchers have weird development paths.

I think what fathom means by salvaging is consistent with what you're saying. They see signs of life and want to give him a chance to play every day so he might get himself back to a competent level. I think the Sox don't have high hopes for Romo so they don't really mind if his low usage makes him worse.

This Kremer guy always pitches well against us

That was a good splitter

Just for the record, despite this talk about Romo, I don't think he was at fault for that wild pitch run. That was a really bad pitch and I think it hit home plate which made the bounce even more unpredictable.

Sox sleepwalking on offense so far.

Guy is pitching pretty well

Cy Kremer out there today after the first AB of the game.

I think they want to use him as trade bait down the road and know he wouldn’t get you much right now

Sox also have had some bad luck with an almost homer and a couple of really good defensive plays. One of those games.

It probably wasn’t his fault, but he doesn’t seem to do anything particularly well back there, so whenever a wild pitch happens, it just amplifies the other gripes with him. I’m including myself in this description.

Also despite what I said about Braden's arm looking weaker than expected, his defense overall has been way above expectation as he's catching everything and making it look easy as he does it. His jumps as measured by Statcast would rank #5 or #2 in MLB depending on which version of it you prefer. That's not the "he's raw but will get better later" guy we were told he would be.

Offense for him isn't perfect but I'm very comfortable that he's the best RF option in the organization and he clearly isn't overwhelmed so I think you can reasonably believe he's getting good developmental reps in MLB as he currently posts league averageish production.

Finally won a series on the road, would have been nice to get the sweep though. Still got some innings to do some damage, especially when Kremer gets yanked from the game, hopefully soon haha

I should be working instead of watching. I did it so I wouldn't get distracted.

Man, if only he had a cannon (like he was supposed have) to go along with that range. That's a gold glove RFer.

The games not over yet some of you guys want to throw in the towel too soon.

It is now!

OTOH could Ben Peoples really be worse than Trevor Richards?

Richards has been good as of late

For a team that has had a 22 run game, they can be complete baffled by average pitching at times.

Not looking good

Can't turn your head up at 2 of 3 on the road. Orioles are decent at home.

Maybe? Why does everyone feel the need to declare a game over early? Especially with how often this team has come back. Just wait.

Their offense is wilting in this weather!
