Inexplicable. Saw that and posted on it the other day. FGs has some strange evals at times. They had him 33rd preseason.

He's only a 150 wRC+ player In AA at 20 years old. No big deal.

Yes, that would rank him first in the southern league as one of the younger players in the league.

He's doing things at his age that usually get analytics oriented scouts quite excited. Frankly I think Eric just missed here, and that's going to happen when you are trying to scout 500 guys to make a top 100 list as a random writer. Sure he's talented at what he does, but he's just one guy, same as Law, except at least with law he seems to want to see guys in person. Eric just looks at spreadsheets and reads primary accounts. If I'm wrong someone call me out, but I don't recall reading many first hand reports from him over the last decade at FGs.

Jimmy Wammo seems to think they're fast tracking this dude. I don't know if he means that's what they've done so far (he's been in A, A+ and AA this season), or if he expects this guy to be up in the near future. He's been kind of cheeks in AA so far.

he can replace Romo already…

Nashville Sounds have a position player pitching the top of the 9th with the team only down by 1. What a joke to be charging admission and do that. At least the kid on the bump seems to be giving about 70% effort.

That's disappointing. I don't think he'll ever be better than a #4 or #5 guy with that velocity.

I think he can very much be a Kyle Hendricks type - which is pretty darn solid and valuable.

Any word on Fauske? He’s been out of the lineup this week.

I sure hope so. The margin of error for a guy throwing 90-91 is just small. He'll needs great command and good secondaries. Hendricks had elite command.

And Boston Smith with an absurd 199 wRC+ in AA. That's over 21 games. What a freak the guy has been in his first season of milb ball. 22 HRs in 77 games so far.

When does this guy become a for real prospect? He's 23, so it's not like he's old for AA, especially as a catcher.
