Road trip

My MLB Sox game was blacked here in SW Florida so I watched the Rays feed but I caught the Vargas homer on Facebook with Schriffen, he was just horrible on that call, something he really needs to work on. I’ve sort of been in his corner thinking he would be more than adequate by now but now I’m not sure if there’s any hope.

true story, my ex was a Cubs fan. And our relationship was bookended by the Cubs Sox series last August and this year's Series

Just date White Sox fans only and she will be asking you to check the score.

Sorry to hear that, but getting cucked by PCA is completely understandable.

Great game yesterday!

Fedde was very good.

Let's get some starting pitching help[p this weekend

They have a site picked out just south of Raymond James Stadium, they need to be in Tampa, the Lightning sell out every game, the Bucs draw very well. The Trop’s location in St.Pete is too far away from the population base in Tampa and is too long of a ride and hard to get to with lots of congestion on the bridges. The fans who live just east of the Bay itself like in Ruskin and Sun City Center have to travel way south and out of the way to get to the Skyway bridge and then come back north, the only towns that have an easy trek are those who live in Sarasota and Bradenton and towns north like Clearwater and Dunedin.

Do know if there is there general support for the Tampa stadium plan among residents of the area? It sounds like approval is very much up in the air. Something has to give - the Rays are winning and they still can't get people to come to the park. This isn't the first year they've fielded a good team, either.

Unlike the White Sox or the Royals, I don't think it's debatable whether the Rays really need a new stadium. One way or another, they are NOT going to be staying at Tropicana Field. If they do get approval to build a stadium next to Raymond James, I suppose the second question is whether that would fix their attendance woes. I'd image the location would have to help to some extent.

Money is always the stumbling block, I think the new owners want some kind of deal by the end of August. They are from Jacksonville and want to stay in Florida so if there’s no deal in Tampa my bet is Orlando is the next stop.

Ok I’m watching the replay and Colson just hit it out, and it hit the hanging catwalk like Thomas did back in the day. I’m pretty sure Thome hit a home run off his own face on the Jumbotron in right field. Konerko got his inside the park homer here. I think Dye might have hit the catwalk too. The Sox have a lot of quirky home runs in this park lol

A couple more today would be nice to add to the list.
