I partially feel bad making this thread, because he seems like the type of guy who would lurk here and get upset by it, but oh well.

His contract is up after the season. Supposedly the team got mad at him for the Mune samurai nickname. There's been rumors that they aren't big fans of his.

Jimmy floated Wayne Randazzo. He's a local guy who worked at The Score back in the day. I've heard some of his calls and think he'd clearly be better than The Schriff. Fans seem to really like him.

Would love for Benetti to come back when Ishbia takes over, but that's a while away.

Randazzo would be a breath of fresh air.

Do you like Obama or Trump? Same thing here. It doesn't matter if you dislike or even hate Schriffen, or why you feel that way. It just doesn't. It is what it is. Relax and try to enjoy the games.

Set aside any prejudice some may have against Schriffen and the understandable mistakes and misstatements that he has made and listen to how he narrates the game and provides excitement and entertainment. You can't have a much better call than this.

All I can say is the broadcast mistakes especially going into his third season are inexcusable. They aren't understandable for a professional broadcaster.

Yes we all make mistakes, I did as well but I also wasn't working for the White Sox.

The franchise deserves better in all areas including the broadcasting end of things.

That being said, if they make the playoffs and wind up having a winning season I think he stays with maybe a new two year deal. Brooks won't want to rock the boat.

Although again so much depends on who may be running the team next season from an ownership standpoint.

Honestly at this point I'd rather replace Stone with Plesac than John with whoever. I'd also love to have an experimental booth with Bacon the play by play and Plesac the color but I doubt Bacon wants to put himself through that. It would be cool if he gave it a shot, but it's a lot to take on and he probably doesn't want to commit to 150 games.

I’m on the bubble, he seems like a nice person, I want to like the guy but he just goes overboard at times and sometimes just doesn’t say the right things but I’ll take him over Benetti.
