I actually like Schweitzer, but think people here are overrating him because of his awesome ERA and are ignoring all the other peripherals.

Who do you think they get rid of? The only guy with options is really Murphy. Otherwise you got to DFA Richards or Fedde.

You're actually probably right for your options reasons alone.

And also, Schweitzer's strength & specialty was long relief. That's Fedde's role now.

For all who suggest that MacDougal or Smith would get promoted. I doubted that, even before trades. They may come up Sept 1st but really need to work themselves back into shape after pretty serious time off.
