Was very much guessing this would have said Ray to the Sox. Curious what Padres gave up.

Minor league right-hander Miguel Mendezand minor league shortstop Joniel Hernandez are expected to head to San Francisco.

Robbie Ray has two months left.

Brenton Doyal has control through 29.

Pretty good return for the Giants.

Do we want him for that long if he forgot how to hit at Coors?

You'd hope so given it's within the division

No idea what the Padres are up to. Maybe they trade him again by the end of the day, lol

Preller busting out his stash

Doesn’t surprise me, Getz said they wouldn’t be giving up prospects for rentals

I trust that Fuller and the hitting crew can help him return to form. Again, he is having the same issue Vargas had. It’s a gamble I’m willing to take for a 26 year old starting pitcher prospect and a young kid who plays a position we are stacked at.

What would be the price of Ray if we had matched the Padres offer? Seems like it would have been something like McDougal or Sandlin and a lottery ticket.

#4 (Mendez) and #9 (Hernandez) Padres prospects.

That is a lot for 2 months of Ray.

Mendez is 50 FV on Pipeline.

Love the return for the Giants here.

Too much for a rental, glad we didn't match.

Seeing that price - quite frankly I'm fine with what the Sox did.
