They're relatively easy to find, it's also why you don't pay $10M for a bullpen arm if he's not a legit backend bullpen arm. Go spend $15M on a legit OF or get someone that can actually close and pay top market value, but stop with a persistent strategy of mediocrity. I feel like every addition where they're making more than Arb money is just settling for marginal players with mediocre value. All that bad money adds up when you consistently waste it on replaceable players.

They’ll typically spend a pile of money on a bunch of mediocrity rather than spend a lot on a single quality player.

Everybody seemed really hung up on the 100-loss seasons. 100-losses to playoffs has happened a few times. There's nothing wrong with the trade performance. He upgraded catcher, the bullpen, CF and one rotation spot.
