9 hours ago9 hr Currently at 3.0 fWAR on the season, which is a 4.3 win season pace. That fWAR ranks 2nd overall on the team behind Vargas and is the best in the AL amongst all 2B.His 121 wRC+ ranks 2nd overall amongst AL 2B. Yes, a lot of blue on his Statcast page, but don’t ignore that 87th percentile squared up rate. There is a reason this kid has 11 bombs already despite below average raw power. He’s an intelligent hitter who has two elite skills and still trying to find the appropriate trade-offs to optimize his output. He’s currently ranked in the 92nd percentile for OAA and is constantly making great plays out there. Him and Colson are absolutely fantastic at turning double plays. In the event of injury, the kid could slide over to SS and give you average defense there. He is heady player who does the small things on the field that make a big difference. The kid is also the heart & soul of the team. He plays the game with an intensity second only to Pyscho Sam. Every time there is a big moment he’s the first one out there to celebrate with his teammates. To say he brings the fire would be an understatement. His role in the clubhouse is a key part of this team exceeding expectations this year.Ultimately this kid is an absolute stud. Hands down Chase is my favorite player on this roster and last night’s clutch performance only cemented that for me. At this point, it’s not Meidroth who should be worried about Roch’s eventual arrival. IMO, he should be our starting 2B for the next five years and I could give two fucks if the haters disagree.
9 hours ago9 hr Lackey!!!Ultimately, they have a bit of a mess on their hands with natural infielders Antonacci Bonemer Cholowsky and Carlson all trying to fit in somewhere...Trade them for pitching? The funny thing is that I couldn't do anything but pick out of a hat right now between Mune Vargas Colson in terms of "fair market value" extensions on all three of them. You could even make your Meidroth extension case right there...especially if the small market Brewers can reward Luis Lara and Pratt so early and so confidently.(Marketing departments across MLB would certainly argue on behalf of Murakami.) 9 hours ago9 hr Lord Meidroth commands you to get off his sack, because you have been there from the beginning and he already knows he’s good. 😉All kidding aside, he’s basically Altuve Jr. without the cheating and the “supplements”. Edited 9 hours ago9 hr by WhiteSox2023

But just barely.
9 hours ago9 hr Chase has far exceeded my expectations. At this rate he is the 2nd baseman of the future no matter who gets called up

5 hours ago5 hr Author Meidroth is also one sexy MF. I mean look at that pic above. My wife absolutely despises the White Sox, but even she asked if she switch her hall pass to Chase after seeing him in person at Fenway. Keep him around and watch attendance skyrocket as the ladies come in droves.

5 hours ago5 hr https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/2026.shtmlThe fact remains that Meidroth and Vargas have been their best players. Then Peters, Mune, Colson and Antonacci.

1 hour ago1 hr Had to go into the archive to find this receipt. I underestimated Chase but the general thinking was that it was an overestimation.

The adjustments made to pitchers approach while facing Peters have been overwhelming for him.Him getting back on track or Doyle unlocking untapped potential at the dish are story lines that are extremely important for our success down the stretch.

The hate he gets is mind blowing. It goes with the territory. Now everyone is hating on Peters Braden any catchers Mune Colson Vargas...even Antonacci's defense and hitting against LP.Davis Martin and pretty much any non Burke starting pitcher...maybe a bit of appreciation for Kay.Will probably change yet again in 2-3 weeks, right?

54 minutes ago54 min A good problem to have but there is an infield crunch that needs to be resolved in the not too distant future.I love the guy, but would not be surprised if Colson is the odd man out. A combination of options at SS and his value on the trade market, plus variance in his performance, make him the most likely to be dealt of guys on the current ML roster.Chase is a steady presence. Love both guys!

Since the all star break he has done a complete 180 on the field. I remember reading that his wife went to the emergency room during the all star festivities. Maybe she has some health issues that are weighing on him. I don't know I'm just guessing but the change in him has been baffling.
