Stop calling the freaking cutter

Haha 90 mph fastball

IDK what he was trying to throw there. Shape was more similar to his 4-seam than anything else, but it had a lot more drop than his 4-seam. And less spin, but not enough less to look like his changeup. Maybe a sinker. But I've seen him be pretty inconsistent with his movement so it might just be a particularly poor case of execution.

Looked like he just aimed it

In AAA, Hagen's best pitch for being in the strike zone was the cutter by a small margin. I think that's why he keeps going to it after the 4-seamers sail.

Ok. Successful debut. Give him a lemonade and get him out of there.

Is his velocity already down after 1 inning?

Brewers win

very fortunate to survive that inning

Two scoreless from Hagen and you're all mad!! D

Very lucky!

Did Hagen have command issues in college?

Phew - Thanks Pinocchio. If I was an Indians fan, I’d be so pissed at that guy right about now.

Yes

Hagen's fastball was topping off at what, about 94 mph?

Tigers can find themselves in 2nd place today, with a win and a Sox win.

Tigers lead 1-0, 6th inning.

Seeing what’s become of him and Schultz is just insane.

94-97 is what he was supposed to be as a starter touching 98

mostly 94-95

I thought Tigers had no pitching?

Range I saw was between 93 and 96.

Both of them look like they have different arm angles then they did before.

He blows his wad very early

Two innings. 48 pitches. Zero runs. Don’t see those numbers often.

He hit 96 in his first inning. He lost 2-3 mph by his second inning.
