They don't seem to have much between the "fuckin' dudes" tier, and projects, right now.Getz pretty much said this as well in a post trade deadline video. That they have top guys and lower level guys but not the in between prospects that were mostly traded at the deadline. Edited 6 hours ago6 hr by WhiteSox2023

1 hour ago1 hr Author Kinda strange since Quero has started hitting lately. Has it been confirmed whether or not Romo has options remaining? That may be the true decider on this move. But then again, even if Romo was out of options would any team claim him? Maybe a bad team since he’s still young and had prospect status…

1 hour ago1 hr Had two great games against the Reds and now they send him down. Definitely need to trade him this offseason.

At least if we knew for sure Romo’s option status, one could argue that maybe Getz is afraid that some garbage team would actually claim him if he is out of options, even as bad as he has been. Don’t think it’s been confirmed though. Edited 53 minutes ago53 min by WhiteSox2023

He was finally putting together good PAs, which Romo basically never does. Yes, his defense is atrocious, but Romo's isn't that much better.
36 minutes ago36 min I'm gonna be honest that I know nothing about Jake Rogers....what kind of improvement is he?

I think it was a good pickup for $717K, perhaps for the “veteran leadership” alone. I just don’t understand sending Quero down over Romo.MLB Trade RumorsWhite Sox Claim Jake RogersThe White Sox get another catcher after a string of poor injury luck.“In almost 3,000 innings behind the plate, Rogers has been credited with 12 Defensive Runs Saved and has a Fielding Run Value of 10. His career framing numbers are above average with FanGraphs, Statcast and Baseball Prospectus. With the bat, he has 47 home runs in 1,224 plate appearances but has also struck out in 31.7% of those trips to the plate. He has a .199/.272/.381 career line and 79 wRC+.” Edited 30 minutes ago30 min by WhiteSox2023
