Not disagreeing. But there may also have been other restrictions that we know nothing about and never will.

Martin needs to go on the IL with either a real injury or a made up one. Hitting Stewart in the head after throwing 5 feet over it on the pitch before is not acceptable. Whatever Martin's problem is let him figure it out in Charlotte.

Off on Monday, starting pitchers on Tuesday and Wednesday both went 7 innings, bullpen game on Friday. Like someone said earlier...so soon after the trade deadline and don't have a starter to use so stuck with bullpen game in game 1 of a crucial series. Terrible indeed.

Thorpe had a great outing in Charlotte today. I'm not keen on needing to rely on a guy coming off TJ surgery for a pennant push, but give him a start or two and let Martin phantom IL for his "blister." I really hate the way McDougal was used since being called up. Kid sat for 11 days without seeing game action. Just seems like a total misuse of the kid. I was fine with the way the deadline turned out, but I do really fear Getz fumbled by not adding another SP to this group.

In 99/100 situations like this - the pitcher was clearly throwing or there was some existing drama which lead to the dude getting plunked and benches clearing.

Here Davis was showing no command because of a blister. I’m still shocked they tossed him. Fucking bullshit.

Honestly going forward if Shane Smith is anywhere close to last year, he can at least give you innings, even if he isn't giving you front line stuff. Not sure if he is broken forever, or if they figured out how to get him back on track. It's so hard to take a single MiLB start and take too much out of it.

It’s not a single start, he can’t go deep into games and he gives up a lot of early runs. The guy is toast this season

Martin and Fedde have a dual trend of not getting anybody out, so he puts them back to back for a quick 8 runs. He took Martin out because he was ejected. Fedde was floundering immediately. Game lost. I blame the Manager.

Ok so think of it like a manager instead of a fan kicking his feet. Who would you have put in? Which member of this staff are you completely confident in to throw in the 2nd inning (by surprise, Fedde certainly wasn’t ready) and pitch a long time? You want to throw Taylor in the 2nd? Brazobán? Has Hudson or Newcomb shown to be long relief stoppers?
