Thorpe’s fastball has been sitting in the 92-93 range tonight and even hit 94. Pretty encouraging.

Almost every hit he gave up was soft contact. Once again through 5 on like 80 pitches.

Hope Thorpe gets the call soon. I think he could pitch against Texas

That's certainly better than before the TJS and if it's paired with great command and the great changeup he had before, he can be a starter.

Hopefully Sunday.

I will kind of be surprised if the Sox want to bring up a guy in a playoff race that doesn't have much experience coming off injury unless necessary. With how Fedde and Urquidy pitched the past two days I think Getz will stick with them

They still need innings. Everyone is at or near career highs in innings. They’ll prob move guys around quite a bit here.

Piggy backing dudes wouldn’t be a bad idea. It’s going to be a battle to get guys tot be finish line and Thorpe is as fresh of an arm as we have. He could be a godsend down the stretch.

If he can place it, it can work, as per Urquidy, Jose

I see that reliever Altermatt is rising. Please tell me that he throws upper 90s.

I would think that Cannon could at least convert to a middle reliever. Maybe not, though.
