August 20Aug 20 Thorpe’s fastball has been sitting in the 92-93 range tonight and even hit 94. Pretty encouraging.

With how Fedde and Urquidy pitched the past two days I think Getz will stick with them

They’ll prob move guys around quite a bit here.

He could be a godsend down the stretch.

Pretty encouraging. If he can place it, it can work, as per Urquidy, JoseI see that reliever Altermatt is rising. Please tell me that he throws upper 90s.I would think that Cannon could at least convert to a middle reliever. Maybe not, though. Edited August 20Aug 20 by GreenSox

Even in the inning he gave up 2 runs, one ball was hit hard. Perez probably should’ve made a play he didn’t. He only gave up four hard hit balls in five innings. He does a nice job of keeping guys off pace and moving the ball around the zone. He had 15 swings on his change up and had 11 whiffs. 73% Edited August 20Aug 20 by CBJ03

Give him another go in the show!!! Him, Urquidy, and Fedde can all help carry innings while padding us from Demon Davis Martin version.I think that stable of 4 could really encourage competition amongst them all. Nice mix of players with the highest level experience possible, those who are recovering from injury, and some who have multiple recoveries already under their belt.If it works out, I will eat crow and back off Getz for failing to bring in another SP at the deadline!I’ve never wanted to be wrong so bad before 😆😆
