For what it's worth, Houston has a losing record at home, Texas are much better at home.

Houston has a lot of experience though and they have our number a lot

from how the astros announcers are talking they are worried about their pitching just like we are.

True, would rather face Texas. Have absolutely no fear vs Cleveland if the Sox get past the WC round.

I hate that Houston ballpark though....weird s%*# happens there and rarely to our advantage. But they can be beat.

Very much this. Houston is an under .500 division winner who got hot for a bit this summer, including when we played them. At the same time, the Sox offense was sputtering badly.

Houston will not be going into this series feeling very confident. Going into today, 4-6 over their last 10 in crunch time. Meanwhile, we’ve been performing relatively well under the same pressure and the offense is alive again.

I think we’re headed to the ALDS.

We've always got owned by the Astros in Houston. I was at games 1/2 there in 2021 it was awful. Hopefully the new guys don't carry on the tradition of sucking there

That was a 95-win Astros team against a TLR Sox team that played .500 ball in the second half, had no fight in them, and had a terrible clubhouse atmosphere. How many Sox players from that 2021 squad are still on the team? Looking back, I don't blame the stadium for the Astros outclassing us in that ALDS.

That being said, the Sox are 2-5 vs. Houston this year, so I'm not saying I'm glad we're (likely) facing them.

Until now - last I looked we beat them to win the series back in 05 - now we will beat them to start our road to this years title!!!
