March 21, 200422 yr Author Yeah, and he had nothing to do with this conversation. true, I will take it back
March 21, 200422 yr Personal insults will get you nowhere in life... ~_~ :puke I bet you wish you hadn't changed your name to Mr. Zero before he threw even one pitch (at the major league level). From his work this spring, Shingo should accept his role as right handed specialist or else his ass is going to get shipped to the minors.

Meh, I was just ecstatic at the fact that the Sox actually imported a player from Japan. If he sucks, he sucks, and I go back to YahtzeeSox
March 22, 200422 yr I have been wathcing baseball for 30 years, I think I know when people suck, that said, I am giving you a perspective of whats going on, if you don't beleive me then don't listen. Grilli sicked, Bullard sucked. those are facts. sorry if that bothers you I agree with the Quickman. Grilli sucks and so does Bullard. Bullard there is a reason for it but Grilli might have blown his chances to make the team. ST or not it is not a pretty game by the pitchers.
March 22, 200422 yr Oye, if they cut Grilli, and we get stuck with Jackson and Ginter or Adkins. Now that I would :puke about.
March 22, 200422 yr I have to take exception to the Bull comments. Isn't he learning a whole new pitching motion this year? That has got to be enough to screw you up for a while.
March 22, 200422 yr Yea, throwing sidearm is really hard to do. Plus, I don't think he was going out there to impress anyone since he knew he wasn't going to make the team anyway. Bull wants to have a good year in AA then that will open some eyes. Sure Sweeney has had an outstanding spring, but if he doesn't counter that (which I'm sure he will) in the minors, then he won't impress anybody. I think that's the main goal for Bullard.
March 22, 200422 yr Now that I would :puke about. For sure. I don't wanna see Adkins or Ginter on my 2004 Sox. Jackson I don't mind as much..
March 22, 200422 yr WOW...14 hits and 9 runs in 3 innings? That's beyond horrible. But even with that, Grili has been solid throught the spring. I'm pretty sure his era was below 4 before this horrible outing. Lets just hope this was ONE OF THOSE DAYS for Jason. I still think he's got a chance to help this team...
March 22, 200422 yr Quickman, I appreciate your brutal honesty, but I definitely dont suck and either does Grilli, or anyone playing pro ball for that matter. If we sucked then we would have a day job doing something else. I had a lot of fun today, even though I gave up 4 straight hits before I got a double play ball. That was my first live game against outside competition all spring, not to mention my first ever game throwing sidearm against somebody other than hitters in controlled intra squads. I have only had roughly two weeks to work on it and I accomplished what I wanted to do out there. That is, I threw strikess and competed against some pretty good f***in hitters. My results will come. That is why I have the luxury of spring training to prepare myself for the season because frankly I know I am gonna be in Bham and I am doing whatever it takes to prepare for that. Thanks for your comments because you definitely have the right to think and say what you want. I actually enjoy criticism because it only makes me better in the long run. And if I get another chance this spring or this season or whatever, I promise you I will have better results than I did today!
March 22, 200422 yr Bull, your a class act. It's hard to find good guys like you in the world. Go get em!!

And after that response, the camera cues in on Quickman as the voice-over says: Wanna get away?
March 22, 200422 yr They liked how I battled and threw strikes, despite the adversity and they liked how I stayed composed throughout the ordeal.
March 22, 200422 yr Quickman, Gees u'd think we were playin against the Twins to win the division today by ur words. It's a spring training game ok, just because Grilli and Bull didn't pitch as well as they would hav liked, doesn't instantly mean u hav to jump on their asses and say they suck. Seattle were hot today, we were not simple as that. I'm glad that Bull said he enjoyed hearin criticism as well, that made me feel a lot betta, even if it wasn't constructive.
March 22, 200422 yr They liked how I battled and threw strikes, despite the adversity and they liked how I stayed composed throughout the ordeal. Another reason we should be glad to hav Ozzie managing and Coop as our pitching coach. I can only imagine what JM and Nardi would hav done.
March 22, 200422 yr Sometimes people forget that these ballplayers are real human beings. Ripping these guys like what happened here is garbage. I don't want to hear about the big bucks they make, which is not true in this case anyway.
March 22, 200422 yr am i gullable, because for a second i really believed that to be Bullard. No need to feel gulliable, that IS Bullard. He's been posting here for longer than me.
