How do you guys get picked off so much? All you gotta do is press the D-Pad to the right and the runner slides back into first safely. At least that works for me, I've never been picked off in this years game.

I have only been picked off once or maybe twice by the computer. Now when a friend and I play on manual pickoff returns, that's another story. I always seem to forget and fall asleep.

Catcher's arm are WAY to fast in this game. I got thrown out with Iguchi on a 68 mph curveball.......bulls***.

whenever i have it set to steal instead of sliding back he just runs to 2nd base which leads to me being caugh on the base paths.

AFter my swallowing my pride and setting it back to pro, I'm having alot more fun with this game. I need to find some good pro sliders i guess. The game just plays alot better on pro i think.

Pro? I'm ashamed i know you lol

I play on pro too. It's okay Soxnbears, you're not the only one.

I went back to Pro today too. All-Star just kept pissing me off. I don't even want to think about how ridiculously hard MVP is!

I'm trying All-star with Pared's and I'm liking it...I'm 0-2 but I honestly know it's my own fault I lsot.

At least your honest Heads. Oh, BTW, I played a few games today with manual fielding......................uh uh.

I'm still on pro. Hell it was only a few days ago I learned about the pitch dealy. Since then my offense has improved a bit. I've only lost twice, but my team has lately been on an offensive tear. I've scored 3 runs or more 3 straight games which is a RECORD.

I might go buy an X Box after work and sell MVP and get the x box version. Im pissed

ive tried to switch to all star, and the first game i play, i lose 13-1. after that i immediatly switched back to pro...

MVP is tough. Pitching wise, you have to hit the lines, or else it is a hit. You have to be perfect pitching wise.

Just sell your PS2 version and get it for the computer. No reason to spend $150 on a machine that'll be obsolete in a year.

If you guys want, I can post my sliders.

They're very similar to Pared's, but I've changed some things.

It's a lot of fun. I've played @ Oakland the past two days, losing both games in extra innings -- one game 4-3, one game 6-5. In both games, I deserved to lose. Lots of times I had a runner on third with less than two outs, and I failed to drive the guy home...

I play on allstar and I'm able to win but I can't hit. I'm like 9 and 1. I lost my first game and after that I've thrown 9 straight shutouts.

yeah i play on all star too 16-8.... hitting sucks but let me tell you the best guys to hit are like pierre, ichiro, crawford types.

Final score - Braves (Kenny) 1, Marlins (Steve) 0 in 14 epic innings

Woot

Pitching is very similar and easy throuout all difficulty levels but hitting is a different story.

My Braves just won the WS with Alexis Rios winning the MVP. Pitching staff of Hudson, Greinke, E. Jackson, Scott Kazmir and Thomson carried us. It was pretty sweet,, i have 14.5 million in the bank after my first year.

Pitching is definitely easy, that's why I'm messing around w/ pro sliders at the moment. I love the hitting on pro, seems much more realistic instead of "soft-pop out" x 20 on all-star. If i can get the pitching harder, I'm going to finally find my slider set i've been looking for.

I've found some pro sliders that I like, but will wait till i can test them out a few more games before posting them.

Another tidbit I found out, next time you play, set your fielding to "MVP" instead of automatic. What this does is eliminate any computer assistance in the field. Like hotshots down the line, the 1b will not automatically move toward it, neither will outfielders. Makes fielding alot harder and gives more varied scores.

Should especially work well in multiplayer games, to cut down the insane plays that go on........coughkennycough

I'd be interested in some pro sliders. I can play decently on All Star but usually can only win low-scoring games. On pro, I can still get shut down by ace pitchers and light up some of the lesser ones so it's pretty balanced.

For pro sliders, I'd suggest making the pitching difficulty really hard since it's so easy and reducing user contact.

just had my best win of the season, Peavy had his worse outing of the year giving up 5 runs in 7 innings but my RP's threw 2 scoreless innings. Bottom of the 9th and im up to bat down 5-2.

Vernon Wells hits a single

Mark Teixera Walks

Miguel Cabrera grounds into a would be double play but Teix breaks it up

Joe Mauer hits a single Vernon Wells scores from third, Cabrera advances to 2nd.

Victor Martinez strikes out on a nasty fastball

David Wright hits a 3 run game ending HR, on a 3-0 count had a feeling Nen would give me a good pitch to hit.

Nen was their closer.... when he came in im like NOOO he is apposed to be retired.
