So now I know what it feels like to have my heart ripped out of my chest, stomped on, kicked, and thrown into the garbage can. Not fun. And I had to turn down a chance to go to tonight's game because of it.

The best cure for a ripped out/stomped on/kicked/garbaged heart is a Sox game.

Remember that next time.

Sorry to hear about the heartbreak.

It DOES get better, though. It may not seem like it will, but it does.

That's exactly when Brian showed up lol.

Looks like Cyclone Monica is headed right for Darwin in Australia. An article on yahoo lists the winds up to 218 mph.

Unless it's your own, no way should a man go.

I just had a telephone interview. Never had one before. Is that common nowadays..?

I agree, it was one of those where all the men and women were invited.

I've been out of the job market so long.. :lolhitting

Went well. It's in Rosemont which is a bit further, but the bump in salary would be nice... cha-ching.

If I was a boss I would definitely want to interview the person face to face to get a better idea of the person. If I was looking for a job, I would imagine an over the phone interview would be much easier. You could do it in your PJs.

The phone is just the next step. It keeps going and going with a lot of companies.

Monster/career builders/hot jobs = 1,000s of applicants

Committee/recruiter/HR whittles it down to dozens

Phone interviews whittle it down to ten or so

Rounds of committee interviews to two or three

Someone pulls a name out their ass

We're in Hillside, approximately 290 and Mannheim. Rosemont is just a few more miles down 294 We're trying to figure out the driving logistics. Ideally we would like to still drive together. I think they will let me work out a flex schedule - they indicated as much. Just have to work out the incentives. I've been driving since I got the Beem..

Madonna syndrome.

So Kelvin Sampson walked up to my lunch table today at school. That was pretty cool.
