^^^

Solid little clip, and pretty cool that the Sox were the only team recognized.

This small talk segment is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, yet odly humorous.

f*** I missed it!

I hope someone posts it online verry soon.

I liked the Chicago small talk bit so far.

The taping, which began just before 5 p.m., took just over an hour. And Conan fans who did not get e-mail ticket reservations from NBC are strongly encouraged to line up for standby tickets to Conan’s shows on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Staffers scrambled to fill the theater by the time the taping began, and every person in the standby line got in to see Tuesday’s “Late Night” taping.

Britney Spears just announced on Dave Letterman that she got knocked up again. Kevin Federline has at least 9 more months of spousal support!

Since she is due around 10/2, about 5 or 6 months haha.

from Conan's monologue last night:

"The White Sox have the best record in all of baseball. Meanwhile, the Cubs have the best record in Wrigleyville". :headbang

Nice to see a show actually live in reality and not do the cliche Wrigley Field slob job.

OK asshole... here's a reality check for you.

YOU chose to have sex with someone you just met and YOU chose not to wear a condom... YOU also chose to support that child... so, get your sorry ass away from the payroll department and take your pathetic threats to someone who gives a s***. If your SORRY ASS had paid your child support - a measly $57.00 a week - like you agreed, we wouldn't have to GARNISH your paycheck. Loser!

I hear ya, Steff. Sperm donor has a $10 a week payment to make to my sister. Has he paid it recently? Nope. Has he been looking for a job? Not that any of us know of.

The kicker... the $57 is ONLY calculated off his base pay. Somehow they haven't gotten wind of his additional comp. I hate deadbeat effing losers. How stupid are you that you can't be responsible for your your s***? IMO, wage garnishments shouldn't even be an option. Toss them in jail. Pathetic bastards.

The additional comp isn't included if it is overtime, some bonuses, etc. If however, there is a couple year pattern of that additional income, some judges will award it.

And I agree he's a f***ing loser for not voluntarily supporting his child. But, she didn't insist on a condom, she decided to screw this loser. Why can't all people be more careful who they decide to make babies with?

It's monthly commission and he's found a way around it.. a bubble I am going to burst on his ass soon.

There are assholes who were in marraiges and relationships for years who don't take care of their responsibility. Weak argument. Encouraged to see others not falling back on it.

The MCAS teachers union is trying to talk me into running for the school board, with no real idea where I stand on issues, or the fact that I am a repubician in a very democratic down, by offering to endorse and support me if I run. I guess being pro-teacher is that rare in our area.

What argument? He should pay, and I believe I said f***ing loser for not supporting his child. I also hope he is visiting the child and plans to make a lifelong emotional commitment as well. Please don't try and make something out of this that isn't there.

I have a ton of empathy for the child. My heart goes out to any child in this situation. I work with kids all day long and all my volunteer stuff is with kids.

I have a lot less empathy, in fact zero, for the adults in the situation who, between the two of them, didn't take precautions and produced a child.

And she should take him back to court and work the commission into the equation. The courts in most states do not like floating dollar amounts, but if she can show a reasonable expectation that those commissions will continue, the courts are usually willing to increase. I've been down that road with a number of salesmen and once had to offer a friend of the court statement on what I projected his earnings to be. She wanted to base it on his last two commission checks, he wanted to base it on the previous years. The judge used the previous 3 years, I think it was. In the end I think they both lost money on the deal, after paying their attorneys to litigate.

The admins and mods at the Canes board I post are obsessed with closing threads and warning people. Starting to drive me nuts. Doesn't help either that they changed their URL (due to a server change) mid playoffs.

Its hard to keep a balance between friendly and open without a board desending into chaos... Some places err on the side of caution, others on the side of what generates posts. Its rough, especially when things seem to change from under your feet.

I gave it a try and stopped by after work yesterday. Didn't get in but talked a little pre-'98 Conan (back when it was funny) for a few minutes with a couple of people waiting around.

I knew it was time to go when that cubs mascot yelling woo woo showed up posing for pictures with people in front of the theater.

That Woo Woo f***er Ronnie sure gets around. I was surprised he didn't get his new teeth kicked in when I saw him outside the Cell at WS Game 1 in all his Cubbie crap.

The Office and My Name is Earl were quite good last night.

I have actually started watching those two shows - first network series that I have watched in several years.

It was warmer in Chicago on January 12, than it is today on May 12.
