I just think ya'll are bring rather shortsighted on this. Ozzie's philosophy is to trust his starters and give them the chance to pitch out of troubles even late into a game. This trust has really helped our starters -- especially Jon Garland who Jerry Manuel treated like dirt. This philosophy will make the manager look stupid on occassion though like tonight when Buerhle just lost it. But, the shortsightedness in your criticism is to not recognize that Ozzie has a plan and that is to make sure his pitchers know that he believes in them.
